Photovoltaic Plants
Lightning and transient voltage protection for Photovoltaic (PV) plants
Photovoltaic (PV) plants are always, due to their nature, in wide and isolated extensions or over building roofs. The cost of the equipment is high and their damage is detrimental to power supply, both when energy is stored and when directly transmitted into the grid. Their working is controlled by sensitive electronic equipment that may be severely affected by electromagnetic fields and transient voltages. Therefore, they are considered as high risk locations for design of lightning protection solutions.
Dhruva Technologies designs and installs all the necessary elements for the most efficient lightning protection for Photovoltaic (PV) plants and the contained electronics.
Components of a Photovoltaic (PV) plant lightning protection systems:
- Earthing and bonding system
- Lightning protection earthing system
